Plastering over artex ceilings has become a speciality. Plasterers often don't like skimming artex because it can be messy so they will advise reboarding the ceiling. We see this as expensive and unnecessary. There have been very few ceilings that we have encountered that needed to be reboarded before skimming. If you have an artex ceiling, chances are we can skim it.
We are happy to quote for insurance claims work. Time and time again customers have remarked that they have been amazed at how clean the process is. We use dust sheets over all carpets and walkways whilst work is carried out. Polythene sheeting is often used over furniture although we do advise that it is best that all furniture is removed from the room before plastering. At the end of the day we always hoover the work area to make sure that it is just as clean as when we arrived.
